COMPANY HISTORY


Mobile-Shop Company, LLC, is a Columbus, OH, based company formed in October of 2004 with the purpose of producing, marketing, selling and servicing its exclusive suite of products and services known as the Mobile-Shop™ System; the key component of which is the Mobile-Shop™ tool and parts organizer.  The Mobile-Shop™ tool organizer is an incredibly useful, patented tool and parts organizing device that greatly increases the productivity, responsibility and professionalism of property maintenance and construction personnel.  The Mobile-Shop System was originally developed by one of Mobile-Shop Company's founders out of a desire to solve serious and costly problems in his property management business.  As far as we are able to determine, the Mobile-Shop System is entirely unique.

In the late 1990s, the president of Mobile-Shop Company, LLC began developing the Mobile-Shop System to solve his own problems regarding the maintenance of his 1500 unit apartment portfolio.  One major problem was a severe lack of organization and accountability in the maintenance process.  With only a box or a bag to organize the hundreds of tools and parts needed to do their job, his maintenance technicians were spending more time looking for the things they needed than actually working.  This extremely inefficient process was both costly to the property and severely lacking in professionalism.

Imagine a bookkeeper trying to do his or her job with no computer, file cabinets or letter trays; just a box in which everything is piled.  Sounds absurd, but this is how most maintenance and construction professionals are forced to work with obvious results.  He realized that a solution to this problem could potentially increase the profits of his properties by hundreds of thousands of dollars each year and greatly increase the professional image of his maintenance staff who have more contact with the customer than any other property management employee.

He set out first to buy a solution.  After a thorough search, he found that the best the industry had to offer was a box or a bag.  Since these devices were the problem, not the solution, he began the process of developing his own, real solution.

Beginning in the late 1990s, multiple prototypes of the Mobile-Shop System were built and tested, logging thousands of hours of experimental  use on hundreds of jobs.  During the development process, a strictly controlled team of maintenance and construction professionals were confidentially consulted on the Mobile-Shop System’s design.  In February, 2003, a professionally administered focus group of maintenance and property management professionals was assembled to provide market direct input.  The information gathered from that event resulted in changes to the design that added significantly more value to the product.

The final result of this incredible effort is the completely developed Mobile-Shop System.  Thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of nearly every professional in the maintenance and construction industry.  The Mobile-ShopSystem is one of the most innovative and useful organizational tools ever developed!
